His work became his greatest passion, demonstrating early on his skills as a documentary photographer. A maniac for detail and detail, he cooperates with the medical faculty of the University of Siena with photographic documentation of surgical procedures. With Professor Motolese he perfected the technique for the development of Florangiographies, but numerous are the collaborations with the most esteemed medical clinics: the urology clinic led by Prof. Angelo Acconcia, the Cardiovascular Clinic for heart surgeries with Prof. Grossi, the Ophthalmology Clinic led by Prof. Frezzotti these are just a few examples. But the passion for photography pushes Fabio in search of the “shot” the Author’s one, in 1966 he won the Photographic Competition Award on the Palio promoted by the Tourist Promotion Company, highlighting his ability to capture the magic moment the unrepeatable one, the one that remains in history. A few years later he himself entered history. It was April 8, 1972 when Fabio took the photo of the year documenting the crash of the Andover , a British plane that crashed in Ampugnano during an event. This shot, his shot was published on all the front pages of newspapers around the world and on all television stations. A few years later came the moment of growth, the time came for Fabio to take the reins of the game, with the opportunity to direct from the year 1977 to 1983 the Grassi photo. And it is at this time that a great love begins that of Art photography, of sculptures, paintings, frescoes, the precious treasures of a wonderful land so dear to him. This is the treasure that Fabio has collected with his passion and his “sense of art,” a passion and recognized professionalism that is also confirmed by his collaboration with the Superintendence of Artistic and Historical Heritage and the Superintendence of Monuments of Siena and Grosseto for the documentation of Restorations to the cataloging of works of Art found in every church, museum and historic homes.
